Reps investigate hike in cooking gas price 

The House of Representatives in Abuja on Wednesday mandated its  Committee on Gas Resources and Petroleum Downstream to investigate reasons for the scarcity and incessant hike in the price of cooking gas.
This followed a motion by Rep. Sergius Ogun (PDP-Edo) which was unanimously adopted by members through a voice vote.

An Oyo state High Court Wednesday, ordered that the renewed writ of summons and other documents in the suit filed by the Seriki Chiefs, be served on counsel to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
The battle over the stool of Olubadan of Ibadanland continued Wednesday with major parties to the case present in court against previous sitting when counsel to the Olubadan were not represented in the court.
The Seriki Chiefs that include Adebayo Oyediji, Olalekan Fakunle, Rashidi Abinupagun and Gabriel Kofoworola, had in the suit dragged Governor Abiola Ajimobi, the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Oba Adetunji, to court, over the installation of the monarch, following the death of Oba Samuel Odulana, Odugade 1.

National Orientation Agency urge Nigerians stop calling Nigeria ‘Naija’

 
While speaking to press in Abuja on Tuesday, Mr Garba Abari, the Directot General of the National Orientation Agency urged Nigerians to desist from calling Nigeria as Naija. This he said will keep it’s originality as remix of the country’s name is not in its good interest.
He added that the agency in all its advocacy visits insist on the country being called Nigeria and not naija.
