Ogun, Lagos Commissioner Of Police Meet

In line with his plan to succeed in combating crimes and other social vices in Ogun state, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Abdulmajid Ali, on Wednesday, August 5, visited his Lagos state counterpart, CP Fatai Owoseni.
 His visit was to deliberate on vital security issues towards effective policing of the two prominent commands.
 CP Abdulmajid Ali, who had earlier paid a visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan Lagos, controlling Lagos and Ogun state police Commands, was received by his Lagos counterpart AIG Joseph Mbu, plus two other prominent Nigerians and retired police officers including IGP Musliu Smith,rtd, and CP Olayinka Balogun, rtd at about 14.30 hours in the office of the commissioner of police , Ikeja, Lagos state.

In a statement issued on Thursday,morning, August 6, and signed by Ogun state PPRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, “the two police chiefs, who are great reformers in the police,deliberated on germane security issues as they affect the two commands,and how they can collaborate on the arrest and investigation of some fleeing suspects who have their hideouts in Lagos and Ogun,after their operations.”
“They agreed on certain security strategies that will help the duo to fight crimes successfully in their areas respectively.
“The two police bosses were also privileged to share from the vast experiences of the two retired police chiefs,IGP Musliu Smith,rtd,and CP Olayinka Balogun,rtd,who were present during the visit at the office of the Commissioner of Police Lagos State.
 “While assuring the good people of Ogun and Lagos on adequate security,CP Fatai Owoseni of Lagos Command,appreciated his Ogun counterpart for his hand of friendship and commitment to duty;and promised to relate with him effectively on regular basis to achieve their goals of having effective and people-oriented policing in line with the ideology of the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon Arase”, the statement said.
