BUHARI
The names of President Muhammadu Buhari’s likely ministers are beginning to emerge.
Though unconfirmed, some of the names likely to adorn the toga of ministers in the next few days include Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister under Obasanjo; Femi Falana, SAN, a renowned human rights activist; Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer, Latter Rain Assembly; Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, erstwhile Chief of Army Staff; Mr. Wale Edun, one time commissioner under Tinubu in Lagos; ex – Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano, Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Segun Oni, also of Ekiti, Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers and Chris Ngige of Anambra.
Others are Abba Sayyadi Ruma, who served as a minister under YarAdua; Hadiza Bala Usman of the Bring Back Our Girls fame; defunct CPC lawyer, Uba Malami; immediate-past FIRS boss, Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru; ACN governorship candidate in Ondo and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Rotimi Akeredolu; former CBN Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo; one time MD of Nigerian Breweries, Eze Festus Odimegwu and respected economist, Prof. Pat Utomi.
These names have repeatedly cropped up in different quarters – and with Buhari’s assurance that he will announce the names of his ministers before the end of this month (September) , many are salivating already and can’t wait to see who and who will eventually make the list.
And unlike his previous appointments which generated so much criticisms, YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered that Buhari is carrying some of his party chieftains along this time.
