Abia state gov, Okezie Ikpeazu files at Court of Appeal,folowing the federal high court judgement.

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, this morning filed a notice of appeal and application for stay of execution at the Court of Appeal in Abuja against the ruling of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court. Justice Abang had yesterday sacked Ikpeazu from office after his main contender during the state's PDP primary in 2014, Uche Ogah, proved to the court that Ikpeazu presented fake tax clearance during the gubernatorial primaries.

Femi Fani-Kayode arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos


Former Minister of Aviation and spokesperson of PDP presidential campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos today over an alleged N4.9 billion fraud. Also arraigned in court is a former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman. EFCC arrests Fayose’s ‘best friend’ over N4.7bn fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a man, whom it described as the best friend of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.
The suspect, Mr. Abiodun Agbele, it was learnt, allegedly helped Fayose to handle over N1.219bn during the Ekiti State governorship election in 2014.

Stepmother remanded for cutting off baby’s penis


A 22-year-old woman, Bara’atu Rabiu, has been remanded in the Minna Medium Security Prison for allegedly cutting off the penis of her rival’s one-month-old baby, Buhari.
She was arraigned on Monday on one count of attempted homicide before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Minna.
