Why I Visited Aregbesola In Osogbo – Fayose

Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State had opened up on why he visited a governor-colleague, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola of Osun State.
News Punch earlier today reported that the controversial governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele fayose was spotted in the State Government House Osogbo, where he had a meeting with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the governor of the state.

Speaking during the meeting held at Osun Government House, Foyese said despite the difference in political parties, he decided to visit Osogbo to meet Aregbesola because of his belief in the unity of the Yoruba people.
There was a photo trending on social media earlier where the two governors where in a warm embrace.
Fayose noted that the visit of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi was instructive to all Yoruba people to come together to address issues affecting them.
Fayose denied suggestion that he may dump the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for APC as he insisted that an opposition party is necessary to put the ruling party on its toes in order TO strength the nation’s democracy.
Governor Aregbesola lauded Fayose for his commitment to the unity of Yoruba race, saying that the Ekiti state governor demonstrated maturity with the motive of his visit to Osun.
He said “We must translate the unity of culture to strong economic bound that will take our people from mystery of poverty to level where they can stand on their own. Our leaders must not be abandoned and discriminated against or molested. We must be careful because every struggle requires strategy so that its import will not be defeated.”
Aregbesola said he was not asking Fayose to abandon the PDP against his wish, Osun governor advised his Ekiti state counterpart to join hands with a political party that will give hope to the people of Nigeria.
